The Senior Developer role is a pivotal role within the Studio. The role’s focus is to develop performant, PHP-based projects for some really exciting brands, to be delivered on-time and on-budget and interact with clients directly.

Key responsibilities
- To be fully responsible for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web application user interfaces, within the allocated budget.
- To be a key member of an established development team, working closely within a project team, to turn technical briefs into working applications.
- You’ll also work closely with front-end developers and designers to implement their front-end code in order to develop complex, content managed, and database driven websites and project managers who will assist in making sure all projects are delivered smoothly.
- To keep up to date with the latest development technologies and techniques in order to discuss them for inclusion within our websites.
- To assist in critical support issues where your experience is required to ascertain the issue quickly and to find the more appropriate resolution.
- To be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical team members and external clients / prospects.
- To make sure work estimates take into account all possible risks and contain the appropriate contingency.
- To efficiently manage your workload and accurately record your time using the company timesheet system.

Requirements
- Object oriented programming principles with PHP 7 and newer
- The Symfony PHP framework
- SQL databases – particularly MySQL 8
- Integrating with third party APIs
- Designing and implementing REST APIs
- Source control using Git & GitHub
- The Linux command line
- A basic working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
It would be useful to have
- AWS, especially ECS, CloudFront, S3 and AWS Aurora for MySQL
- Docker
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools – particularly CircleCI
- Experience with WordPress and specifically the WP REST API
- Previous agency experience and working as part of a development team to deliver projects and design practical solutions from business rules & requirements
