In case you haven’t heard…

Propeller’s being nominated by the UK Company Culture Awards for the ‘Best Agency to Work for’ award, and it’s a true testament to the fantastic ethos we have created in the office and beyond.

As a digital agency, it is our mission to propel our client’s digital presence beyond their expectations through everything from web development to performance. We credit our ability to continue our mission to our dynamic teams. Working closely alongside each other, they cultivate a safe space where learning, growing, and having an amazing time go hand in hand.

More about us…

Over the past 22 years, we have solidified our position as an agency that delivers best-in-class services for clients, and that’s all down to our incredible team of

46 employees and between us, we speak over 12 languages. With many of our team members remaining loyal to Propeller for over 10 years, our staff retention is what reminds us that we are on the right track.

We are committed to placing our team at the heart of what we do, and our initiatives have been established through consistent communication and understanding of what our team values.

Looking after our team’s health and well-being comes before anything else. For this reason, we established an annual wellbeing budget. This gives every team member £500 on top of their salary and bonus every year to use as they wish- examples of this include a gym membership, a cookery course, fitness equipment and a spa retreat.

As we continue growing in size, we have made sure that this doesn’t change the strong relationships we have across all teams. The culture of Propeller is ever-evolving. We run company-wide brainstorming sessions where every team member is encouraged to contribute about what they’ve been working on and give input on best-practice ideas. This ensures that everyone understands their vital part in contributing to the success of Propeller.

Quarterly company meetings are followed by social events that bring everyone together and give remote-working team members the chance to catch up with the team away from a screen.

To top this all off, we also have an annual away trip to Aberdyfi, Wales. This involves the entire company coming together for three days of fun in the Welsh countryside with barbecues, fancy dress and a swim in the sea.

“You don't feel like you’re ‘just an employee’, you feel valued and your opinion matters no matter who you are. You can take any suggestion to anyone from your line manager to the owner, and it will be listened to.”

Miles Wilcox, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

What sets Propeller apart?

After 22 years of digital excellence, we want to shout about how great our agency is. Our people are what make us unique, as every individual has a voice and plays a part in shaping our culture. Our Founder’s mantra is “Make a difference and bring your energy and personality to work, above all enjoy it!” We all give so much of ourselves to our work, so it’s vital we enjoy what we’re doing, and that belief has been instilled into every aspect of this agency. Our people love working here, and that is reflected in the average longevity across the team. We have built a culture that enables continued learning opportunities and unrestricted creativity.

“Make a difference and bring your energy and personality to work, above all enjoy it!”

Richard Bruton, Founder

At a time when other agencies are cutting budgets, we decided to invest in our studio. We have created a working environment with open spaces and private meeting rooms that facilitate collaboration. In addition, we built a fully-equipped bar to welcome our clients, hosting their strategy meetings, running workshops and offering them deskspace for whenever they’re in the area. The invitation to the bar is always extended to employees, and they regularly stay past working hours to enjoy each other’s company over drinks.
