The Celtic Collection is a family of luxury distinct brands, including resorts, hotels and lodges. Born from the legacy of the Celtic Manor Resort, each venue has a unique personality, offering something different at each venue and pulling in different audiences

With each venue possessing its own unique charm, the Collection aimed to elevate its digital presence and enhance the online booking experience across its seven distinct venues. Propeller stepped in to not only redesign the entire online experience but also to create a unified booking portal, providing a seamless and consistent experience for all members and guests.

Our approach

Propeller embarked on a comprehensive strategy to address the diverse challenges presented by The Celtic Collection. Central to our approach was the establishment of effective communication channels between all third parties involved, ensuring seamless coordination and constant updates for Celtic.

Previously, there was no way to correlate member bookings across Celtic’s multiple platforms. With a plan to update Celtic’s digital and enhance the online booking experience, we created a single booking portal for all members and guests to create and manage their bookings.

We tackled the need for individual online identities for each venue by collaborating closely with Concept, ResDiary, and Opera/OWS, integrating their APIs to create a fully white-labelled solution.

Recognising the intricacies of the Hunter Lodges’ booking rules, we gave tailored solutions, including the implementation of image management for rooms and limitations on guest additions. Moreover, our team developed a Single Sign-On (SSO) solution, synchronising profiles across platforms and delivering a unified login experience for members. The collaboration extended to wireframing and designing, where we worked alongside Celtic and Opera to ensure the technical feasibility of meeting client needs.

The Results

We introduced a dedicated booking portal for all hotels, ensuring a consistent booking flow across venues, integrating all booking flows, covering Golf, Spa, Activities, Rooms, and Dining, into a single, user-friendly portal. Celtic members can now enjoy a unified experience with a single login, facilitating easy creation and management of bookings, where they can seamlessly create and cancel room bookings online, whether on desktops, mobiles, or tablets. We also ensured profiles between all platforms remain consistently updated and synchronised, fostering a cohesive and reliable experience.
