Hall & Woodhouse is a family owned brewery based in Dorset with nearly 250 years of history. Along with their iconic beers, they own an extensive estate of pubs across the south of England, from rural coaching inns to stylish town and city centre restaurants to hotels.


The Challenge
At the time, Hall & Woodhouse’s digital presence didn’t fully reflect the quality and character of its pubs. The websites lacked online booking functionality, weren’t designed for mobile users, and struggled to attract and convert visitors. Just as importantly, the experience didn’t showcase the estate’s diversity, making it difficult for guests to discover the different pub styles across the Hall & Woodhouse portfolio.
The goal was to create pub templates that feel like true digital extensions of each individual venue, while also improving the path to booking and driving stronger conversion. At the same time, the work helped strengthen the overall digital identity of the Young’s brand and its wider estate.



Our Approach
Together, we reimagined how each venue should live online. We designed bespoke pub website templates tailored to different pub styles and customer profiles, ensuring every site felt like a natural extension of the venue itself. Eye-catching imagery, thoughtful content structure and carefully designed user journeys help bring each pub’s atmosphere, food, drink, rooms and events to life, making it easy for guests to explore and plan their visit.
Alongside the creative work, we introduced technology to support both the guest experience and commercial performance. LiveRES booking functionality was implemented across all pub sites, with deposits added to the booking flow to help protect revenue during peak periods. Performance improvements across the platform also ensured faster, more responsive sites across the estate.
